Michael iongbloed teaching at Dirty Ballet
Dirty Ballet has headed to it’s seventh edition and will be receiving groups from Wallonia, Flanders but also France, Italy etc… who will participate.
This event exist in two parts. The first is the biggest international workshop from Belgium and second the choreographic meeting (all disciplines) to a theme.This years theme was ‘Michael Jackson – This is it.. will happen!”.
I teached modern jazz on the workshop from 10 to 11h. It was very nice, because all the dancers where motivated and came to learn more about this style.

In a couple of weeks the new season of So You Think You Can Dance will be returning to Belgium and The Netherlands and therefore they are searching new motivated dancers who want to participate.
On 25 November 2009, Tom Dice was chosen by the Flemish broadcaster Vlaamse Radio- en Televisieomroep (VRT) to represent Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 in Oslo, Norway.
The Belgian dance competition Dirty Ballet exists already 6 years, and it was the first time that I participated with The Dance Factory. This competition wants to stimulate the dance culture by organizing this chorographical dance meeting.
On April 18th 2009 the ESDU Belgium Open qualification tournament took place at theatre ‘t Eilandje in Antwerp. All the best dance schools from Belgium met each other but only the strongest would continue to participated to the World Dance Masters 2009 in Croatia. The participants could show their creations and talents in a professional setting to an international ESDU-jury.
On Saturday April 11th, a new diner show opened its doors in Steendorp near Temse. The Magic Palace is a classy revue show that takes you on a trip for two times 50 minutes.
For the official opening of the Vt4 program “Het Hotel” in Westende, Bruno and Youri, two of the candidates from the program invited us to do three choreographies.
From march 19 to 21, the 12 edition of the Nacht Van Exclusief was held in the Casino of Knokke.
The American singer Fawni was looking for dancers in Belgium. A few years ago she stood with “Lick it” on stage for the Belgian television program Tien om te zien and now she’s back with her new single “Serious”.
