The Belgian dance competition Dirty Ballet exists already 6 years, and it was the first time that I participated with The Dance Factory. This competition wants to stimulate the dance culture by organizing this chorographical dance meeting.

This year’s theme was the long career of pop singer Madonna. Together with Isabelle Beernaert, Steeve Laurent, Christopher Jamin and myself we co choreographed a four minute dance for the competition in Brussels.

We went home with two prices. One for best technique and one for originality.

On April 18th 2009 the ESDU Belgium Open qualification tournament took place at theatre ‘t Eilandje in Antwerp. All the best dance schools from Belgium met each other but only the strongest would continue to participated to the World Dance Masters 2009 in Croatia. The participants could show their creations and talents in a professional setting to an international ESDU-jury.

Also The Dance Factory participated with 36 choreographies. I made some choreographies myself and all of them were selected for Croatia. I also received some “special prices”. One for the highest score for the creation “Pour que tu m’aimes encore” and another for best choreographer for the choreography “Halo”. (more…)

On Saturday April 11th, a new diner show opened its doors in Steendorp near Temse. The Magic Palace is a classy revue show that takes you on a trip for two times 50 minutes.

Before the show there is a cold and warm buffet and a dessert afterwards.

The show brings a mix of top entertainment, comic acts, magic and dance. The choreographies for this show were made by Florian Boutonnier

For the official opening of the Vt4 program “Het Hotel” in Westende, Bruno and Youri, two of the candidates from the program invited us to do three choreographies.

After the beautiful fireworks Emma, Saar, Tess, Bruno and I danced for an amazing audience.

For this event we co choreographed with Isabelle Beernaert.

They liked the performance and the result was shown on television.

From march 19 to 21, the 12 edition of the Nacht Van Exclusief was held in the Casino of Knokke.

This year’s theme was carnival in Venice. Face of this year’s edition was Belgian singer Petra aka La Sahkra.

In a piece by designer Geert De Pusseleyr she brought a beautiful show under the management of Florian Boutonnier.

The American singer Fawni was looking for dancers in Belgium. A few years ago she stood with “Lick it” on stage for the Belgian television program Tien om te zien and now she’s back with her new single “Serious”.

Together with 4 other dancers I was selected for the recording of this video clip in Antwerp. It was nice working with Arthur, Bruno, Stephane and Christopher.
